Although Tira is really friendly with people and has never met a stranger , unfortunately she seems to despise other dogs , cats and particularly squirrels

Stella is sweet and just wants to play but Tira won't have none of it

Maybe it is the nature of a dachshund?
Friends of us also have one. A very sweet dog but not always very friendly towards other dogs.

That was just an average cell phone shot but if you want good aquarium pics you're going to want to max out your practical lighting because even an overhead remote flash looks weird on fish, then you want a shutter speed of about a 200th of a second, you will probably want to have your apperature wide open (2.8 or wider given the practical light) to avoid grain. Then set your iso manually until your (hopefully) black background starts to look true black. (Auto ISO will always over expose your fish if you have a black background). Then obviously do it at night lol unlike I did in that shot above and you won't have reflections.

Just got green star polyps for my office tank, my first coral colony. I'm a bit worried but it is fully photosynthetic and there's plenty of light.

Very nice Chris. Although they contain symbiotic algae, they also need feeding. I used to feed my soft corals with live newly hatched artemia (brine shrimp nauplii) using a syringe to place them in direct contact with the colony.
